BIO
Bursting onto the London scene in the late summer of 2011 with songs about Greek mythology and Watership Down, Francis & Boyd have quickly established themselves as one of the country's up-and-coming bands. A seven-piece folk outfit that utilise a diversity of instruments - banjos, mandolins, violins, ukuleles, electric guitars - the band have found praise and interest in their distinctive sound from a variety of listeners.
Their live performance of 'Antigone', filmed at Dromos Travelling Festival, was voted best video of the week on BalconyTV - a site that boasts showcasing bands such as Mumford and Sons, Biffy Clyro and The Script - and since then Francis & Boyd have taken London by storm, headlining The Purple Turtle and making regular appearances at Proud Camden. Their new EP “Icarus” is due for release in June, along with a tour of the south coast.
